Notes: Stephen Pearson Knight was born in 1854 to William & Mary Ann Knight in Wa lgrave, Northamptonshire he was Christened later that same year on Novemb er 10th at Walgrave. In 1861(census) Stephen is living in Walgrave with h is Widowed Mother and two siblings. In 1871& 1881(census) Stephen is sti ll living with his Mother and helping to run 167 acre farm. By1891(censu s) Stephen has moved to Yoxall in Staffordshire where he is a Farm Bailif f, his mother is still living with him. In 1893 Stephen finally gets marri ed, he marries Mary Sharratt at Lichfeild in Staffordshire.In 1901(censu s) Stephen is living at Ladysmith Farm (formerly the Gallets), Hoar Cros s, Yoxall, Staffordshire, with his wife and three children. Also at the fa rm were Harold Robinson, 21 year old cowman from Long Buckby, Northant s, a wagoner, a youth whose job was "to run milk from farm to factory ", a domestic servant and a nursemaid.
