In 18 71(census) Mary is 7yrs old, she is living with her Parents and five Sibli ngs in Walgrave. In 1881(census) Mary 17yrs old, she is working as a Scull ery Maid at Brickendon House, Brickendon, Hertfordshire, the home of Russe ll Ellice, a man "of private means". Mary is one of ten servants. In 18 91 (Census) Mary is aged 28yrs, she is living at 10 Cleveland Square, Padd ington, London where she is employed in the Household of Robert Bayfo rd a Barister & Solicitor as the Cook. Mary married Thomas Hammond at Chel sea in 1901 and in the Census, she & her Husband are living at 17 Glabo do Mews, Chelsea, Mary's Husband is a Coachman.
