In 1861 (census) Willi am is 5yrs old and living on Maxey Road, Helpston with his parents & Sibli ngs, he is attending school. By 1871 (census) William has Just turned 16y rs and is working as an Agricultural Labourer, he is still living in Helps ton with his parents & Siblings. William married Sarah Grooby between Octo ber & December of 1877. By 1881 (census) William is now 26yrs old, he is s till an Agricultural Labourer but has moved to his wife's home Villa ge of Ashton in Stumford, Northamptonshire, he is living with his Wife & 3 yr old Son. In 1891 (census) William is 35yrs he & his family have mov ed to Walpole St Andrew, Norfolk. William is still an Agricultural Laboure r, the couple now have four Sons. In 1901 (census) William is 48yrs o ld he is still living in Warpole St Andrew but is now working on the Railw ays as a Platelayer, he & has wife now have 5 sons also living with th em is Mary Hesketh (nee Grooby) his sister in Law, who is now a widdow.
