Notes: Eliza Hines was born in Stowmarket and married a Mr Candler, she had two c hildren with him before he died. In 1853 Eliza married Bricklayer Thomas H ardy at Long Melford Eliza & his Family appear missing from the 1861(censu s) however in 1871(census) Eliza is 40yrs old, she is living on High St, L ong Melford with her Husband & three children. In 1881(Census) Eliza is 56 yrs old ans a Widow, she is living on the East Side of Melford Green wi th her Mother, youngest Daughter (who is married though no husband Presen t) and two Grandchildren, Eliza is working as a Dressmaker. In 1891(Censu s) Eliza is 67yrs old, she is still living on the Green at Long Melford wi th one of her Grandaughters and is still working as a Dressmaker.
