Notes: David was born David James Thompson along with his twin sis ter Sarah. His mother died in child birth and his father c ould not raise both children. He was raised by the Eber fa mily in Ontario, Canada. They never legally adopted him, b ut he was raised as an Eber and kept the name. He was par t Chippewa Indian.
