Notes: In 1851(census) living in 'Farm House' in Wold, Northants, with wife and t wo unmarried children. John is a Farmer of 58 acres, employing three labou rers. He is also an Innkeeper! In 1861(census) 92 year old John is the pu blican of the Wheatsheaf Inn in Old. His two unmarried children are sti ll living at home, and on census night 16 year old granddaughter Elizabe th Read is also present. (The writing on the census is not brilliant and the surname may not be exa ctly 'Read'. Elizabeth must be the daughter of Ann, Elizabeth or Sophia. E xtensive searching of the 1851 and 1861 census cannot find any link. Ma ny different surname spellings and birth and date options produced nothi ng positive!) He died (3b,98) in the first quarter of 1864, aged 95
