Notes: Maria Bird was born in 1802 at Long Melford, Suffolk, she married Willi am Otley on June 1st 1819 they had Three Children. Maria's husband disapea rs from the Record and presumedly died as in 1841(census) Maria is 35yrs o ld she is living on Westgate Street, Long Melford with six Children and t he Father of the whom she has not married, Agricultural Labourer John Turn er is also living with them. In 1851 (Census) Maria is 45yrs old she is st ill living with John Turner in Hall Street, Long Melford, with ten Childre n. In 1861 (census) Maria's age is given as 57yrs old, she is still livi ng on Hall St, and is listed as John Turner's 'House Keeper' though the Ch ildren living with them are theirs. In 1871 (Census) Maria is 66yrs old s he is living on Smaley Lane, Long Melford, with one of her son's. Maria Di ed in November 1874 and was buried Nov 30th at Long Melford aged 72yrs.
