His wife was considerably his senior in age. and be gged and prayed him to marry her. She was related to him, being Marcia An astasia. youngest daughter and heiress' of Matthias Earbery, M.p. for Lan esborough, Co. Roscommon, who was descended from John Crofton of Lisdorn e (see that Branch, ante). Sir Hugh and Matthias Earbery were very intima te friends. as well as relatives. There was no issue of that marriage, Mr s. Crofton dying at Inchinappa about 1837. Her Sister Emily was godmothe r to Henry William Crofton, and was equally anxious to marry him, so tha t Inchinappa might be his, as she and her sister were co-heiresses ,of i( . He married, secondly, March 5, 1840, at St. George, Hanover Square, Lo ndon, Marianne Amelia, daughter of the Revd. James. Cazalet, of Paddock , Sussex. He first met her in Paris. She died at Inchinappa, aged 26, an d was buried at Wicklow Cl:Iurch, February 6, 1847. There was issue of this marriage four sons and a daughter. viz. :- I. Henry Morgan Earbery, born at Inchinappa, May 31, 1841. died there Sep tember 7, 1878; Was JP for Co. Wicklow. " He married at St. Anne's, Dubl in. on June 20, 1865, Henrietta (who died" at Inchinappa. October 13, 187 8), daughter of Major Henry Townsend, of Whitehall, Skibber:een, and Moun t Alto, Co.Cork and had issue:: -" I la.
