He was born in Walg rave Northampton, and was the In 1871 (census) Arthur is 9yrs old and li ving at home with his parents and three Siblings, he is a scholar. In 18 81 (census) 19yr old Arthur has become a shoemaker but is still livi ng at home with his parents and now four siblings. Arthur married Sarah J ane of Maidford in 1888 aged abt 26yrs, By 1891(census) Arthur & his wi fe are living in Walgrave, 2yr old Dorothy & newborn Alice are living wi th them, however Alice's twin William is staying with Arthur's parents, Ar thur is a Shoemaker. In 1900 however their Eldest Daughter Dorothy Dies, A nd possibly the twin's too as there appears to be no further records of th em. In 1901(census) aged 38yrs Arthur and Sarah are living in Baker Stre et, Walgrave with five children under 8 years old, He is a Shoe Maker work ing from home.
