Notes: Thomas Deacon was born in Walgrave about 1804 he was the Brother of Steph en Deacon, who married Elizabeth Knight (first cousin once removed of Thom as' wife Martha). At the age of 27yrs Thomas Married Martha Knight on 28 th March 1831, the Couple married in Walgrave. Thomas was a Farmer, in t he 1841 & 1851 census he shown living with his wife & family, his farm w as quite modest compared to some of his neighbours (the 1851 census sho ws he had only 16acres & employed one man). Four of their Children were Ch ristened on the 16th October 1837 at Walgrave. Thomas's Wife Martha Di ed on 18th May 1860 and In the 1861 census Thomas now a widower, is livi ng with his son Thomas and Daughter-in-law, The Farm has now gained anoth er acre and he is employing one boy. Thomas Died on 25th October that sa me year aged 55yrs.
