Notes: Anthony Barker Knight was Born on the 4th November 1812 he was the third C hild of Joseph & Elizabeth Knight and was born in Walgrave, Northamptonshi re. Anthony was christened, on 30th April 1813 aged 5 months, at the sa me time as sister Martha, brother Thomas, and cousin Martha. In 1841(censu s) Anthony is 25 and is living in Walgrave, nextdoor to his Sister & her F amily and is possibly working on their Farm as Agricultural Labourer. Anth ony married Mary Ann Barritt, Daughter of a local groccer. Mary's Sister H epzibah had earlier married Anthony's Uncle Richard Knight. Richard Knig ht and his wife Hepzibah, were witnesses at Anthony & Mary's in Walgra ve on 27th November 1844. In 1851(census) Anthony & Mary now have four chi ldren, they are still living in Walgrave. Anthony is now a Butcher and Mac hinist, also living at the house is John Steanes, working as a Journeym an Butcher, he is shortly to become Anthony's brother-in-law when her marr ied Anthony's younger sister Mary. There is also 15yr old Sarah Richards on who is the Housemaid. By 1861(census) Anthony & Mary had the family h ad nine children at home in Walgrave. Anthony is still a Butcher, he is em ploying one man mostly likely his son Alfred who is also listed as a Butch er on the Census, there is also no live in Servant either this time.
